The Puan Noor Aishah Award, which started in 2000, is presented annually to recognise all outstanding Brownie and Girl Guides units who have fulfilled the criteria set out by Girl Guides Singapore. The criteria include:

Green Audit 2008 Award - Orchid

More good news.. Yangzheng has been awarded Orchid Award in the Green Audit Survey organised by SEC and Agilent Technologies. This is a second highest award attained after Palm(2007) and Hibiscus( given a skip) awards. Congratulations to all involved especially our 56 environment monitors and 3 dedicated science teachers.
Marshall Cavendish's Budding Writers Project 2008

Lucas Foo Jun Wei, Aw Khai Loong and Andre Aw De Quan of Primary 3A, did the school proud by becoming the youngest ever to emerge as winners of the 2008 Budding Writers Project, a writing contest organised by Marshall Cavendish Publishing Group. PSLE 2008
It is a bountiful harvest for PSLE Results 2008 in YZPS, Julius Lim (6A) achieved the highest aggregate score of 275 with 22 others achieving an aggregate score above 250 for the Merged Stream and Nuraini Bte Mustari achieving the highest score of 120 for Foundation Stream. Once again, 100% of our merged stream pupils are eligible to go to secondary schools and we achieve passes above the national average in ALL subjects. Our Yangzhengnites have indeed lived up to the school’s motto, From Each His Finest Effort, and many thanks go to our staff and partners in education.

Immersion Programme with our Twinning School, Beijing Zhongde School 2008
This immersion programme is a unique experience. It had exposed our pupils to the immense and varied history of China and had given them the opportunity to spend time in ZhongDe School to see first-hand how qualitative learning is achieved. Our pupils had spent concentrated time with the pupils at ZhongDe School who had extended warm hospitality to our teachers and pupils.

Project Carbon Zero Competition

Yangzhengnite, Clara Goh(5E) came in third for the individual section where more than 70 schools took part in the competition organised by SEC and NEA. GOH, Mr. Matthias Yao, Mayor of South East District presented the prizes on 1 Nov 2008 at the Marina Barrage during the Clean and Green Singapore Carnival.
Another Yangzhengnite, Seow Quan Ying of 4G came in fifth in the same competition.
