National Anthem / Pledge Taking

• Pupils who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge.

• Pupils will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart.

• Pupils must attend the flag-raising/lowering ceremony daily from Monday to Friday.

General Appearance

General Appearance of how Yangzhenites should look

• Name tag of Pupil must be clearly sewn on both the school uniform and PE T-shirt.

• Black shoes and white socks must be worn.

• Pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.

• Pupils must wear PE attire during PE lessons.

• Pupils should be neat and tidy in appearance.

Boy's Hairstyle / Facial Hair

• Hair must not be tinted or dyed.

• Short hair: Length of hair must be above the shoulder. Hair must not touch eyebrows.

• Long hair: Hair past shoulder length must be neatly plaited down the whole length. 

• Only when hair cannot be plaited, a ponytail must be neatly tied.

Girl’s Hairstyle

• Hair must not be tinted or dyed.

Jewellery / Ornaments / Appearance

• All pupils are not allowed to wear religious ornaments or jewellery to school.

• Girls may wear a small pair of ear studs.

• Tinted glasses are not allowed.

• Fingernails are to be kept short and neat. No nail varnish is allowed.
