National Anthem / Pledge Taking
Pupils who are Singapore Citizens must sing the National Anthem and take the Pledge.
Pupils will take the Pledge with the right fist placed over the heart.
Pupils must attend the flag-raising/lowering ceremony daily from Monday to Friday.
General Appearance

General Appearance of how Yangzhenites should look
Name tag of Pupil must be clearly sewn on both the school uniform and PE T-shirt.
Black shoes and white socks must be worn.
Pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification to the uniform is not allowed.
Pupils must wear PE attire during PE lessons.
Pupils should be neat and tidy in appearance.
Boy's Hairstyle / Facial Hair
Hair must not be tinted or dyed.
Short hair: Length of hair must be above the shoulder. Hair must not touch eyebrows.
Long hair: Hair past shoulder length must be neatly plaited down the whole length.
Only when hair cannot be plaited, a ponytail must be neatly tied.
Girl’s Hairstyle
Hair must not be tinted or dyed.

Jewellery / Ornaments / Appearance
All pupils are not allowed to wear religious ornaments or jewellery to school.
Girls may wear a small pair of ear studs.
Tinted glasses are not allowed.
Fingernails are to be kept short and neat. No nail varnish is allowed.
